Give your classmates feedback

Give your classmates two pieces of warm feedback and two pieces of cool feedback after you explore their project (read their website, complete their webquest, listen to their podcast, etc...)
Your post should be in this format:
List the names of the group members you are reviewing, their project format (website, movie, etc.)
List your names.
Two pieces of warm feedback. This feedback should be specific, and phrased like "I liked that you..."
Two pieces of cool feedback. This should also be specific, and should be phrased like "For improvement, I would suggest..." Be polite and constructive with cool feedback.

Help questions while on paternity leave

Nick is getting into a regular schedule now at the ripe old age of six days, so I should be able to find time every day to respond to some questions regarding class material. I will try and respond daily, so check back every day if you post a question. Mr. Aversa is doing a wonderful job helping you out, and has been giving me good reviews about your progress thus far. Remember to work diligently in class every day, keep up with your records and homework, and follow the strategies for success whenever you are working. To ask a question, post a comment by clicking on "comments" below, leave your first name or initial (NO LAST NAMES) and class (chemistry 1 or chemistry AP), and then leave a clear question that could be answered by me in a couple of sentences. Make sure to identify yourself somehow, so I can address your question directly. I have posted an example of a question and a response below.

Episode 2 of class podcast

In this episode, I talk with three graduates of AP Chemistry about what they liked best about the course, what they liked least about the course, what they did to be successful, and what advice they have for current AP chemistry students. Many thanks to the interviewees, who gave up an afternoon to help me record!
Current students should listen to this podcast episode either by streaming it below, or better yet, by subscribing to the podcast on itunes. This episode should be up there by Thursday at the latest. After you have listened through either medium, comment on this post. Did you get a good idea? Did you agree with some things the students said? Do you have further questions? These are great things to comment on.

BaLiCKI's Science Class podcast

My new project this year is going to be to create a podcast that current & former students, colleagues, and parents can subscribe and listen to in order to learn about what happens in my chemistry classes at BLS. The first episode is a 15 minute introduction to me, my philosophy of education, my grading policy, and some helpful hints about being successful in my classes.
This is a learning experience for me. Currently you should be able to stream podcasts from the site. Soon you should be able to get them from itunes too. Feel free to comment if you like it, or if you have an idea for a future episode!
